The Comfort Colors C1717 is the heavyweight garment dyed crewneck most brands land on once they stop buying on price alone. It is cut from 6.1 ounce ring spun cotton, so it has real body to it, and the garment dyed finish gives every piece a softened, lived in character straight out of the box rather than after a season of washing.
The fit
A relaxed unisex cut with a straight body and a slightly wider shoulder than a fashion tee. It drapes rather than clings, which is why it reads well as an oversized fit on a smaller frame and still sits true on a larger one. Double needle stitching through the hems and a taped neck keep the shape after repeated washing. Adult sizes only.
Decoration that suits it
Garment dyed cotton is close to ideal for direct to garment printing. We print it in house in Hollywood, Florida on Kornit Atlas MAX PLUS machines using water based ink, which cures into the fiber instead of sitting on top of it, so the print stays soft and does not crack or peel. Photographic artwork, soft gradients and fine line detail all hold up well on this blank. Standard placements are front 12 by 16 inches, back 12 by 16 inches, left chest 5 by 5 inches and top back 12 by 4 inches. Printed inner and outer neck labels are available if you are building your own label.
