Custom embroidery for West Palm Beach, Wellington, Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens: clubs, equestrian, marine and private staff apparel, planned around the season.
Custom embroidery in West Palm Beach follows the calendar. From late October through April the clubs are full, the horses are in Wellington, the boats are in the water at Palm Harbor and Jupiter, and every hotel, restaurant and private residence on Palm Beach island is fully staffed. Apparel orders spike in September and October and again in January, and the businesses that plan ahead get their embroidered polos, caps and jackets before the season starts. Imperial Custom Apparel runs in house embroidery on multi head commercial machines at our shop in Hollywood, Florida, and ships or delivers north to West Palm Beach and all of Palm Beach County with no minimum order.
Custom embroidery West Palm Beach businesses order, by sector
Palm Beach County is not one market. It is five or six, each with its own garments, colors and timing. Here is who orders embroidery and what they order.
| Sector | Where | Typical garments | When they order |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hospitality and clubs | Palm Beach island, downtown West Palm, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter | Polos, quarter zips, caps, aprons, robes, towels | September to November, then January |
| Equestrian | Wellington, Loxahatchee | Polos, vests, softshells, caps, saddle pads, duffels | October and November for winter circuit |
| Marine | Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach, Palm Harbor | Performance polos, caps, quarter zips, towels | Year round, peak before boat season |
| Downtown business | Clematis Street, Rosemary Square, Flagler Drive offices | Polos, quarter zips, totes | Year round, tied to hiring and events |
| Private staff | Palm Beach, Manalapan, Jupiter Island | Polos, oxfords, aprons, caps, housekeeping tunics | Before owners arrive, usually fall |
| Events and tournaments | Countywide | Caps, polos, volunteer shirts, bags | 6 to 8 weeks before the event |
Hospitality and clubs
West Palm Beach hospitality runs on uniforms that look polished in person and survive daily commercial laundering. Front desk and concierge polos, pool and beach attendant caps, food and beverage aprons, spa and locker room towels and robes, and quarter zips for valet and bell staff on cooler nights. Clubs add the pro shop, outside operations and tennis and fitness staff, each with slightly different garments but the same crest.
Thread makes sense here because the garment lives hard. Polyester thread holds its color through industrial washing in a way most printed finishes do not, and a left chest crest at 3 to 4 inches wide reads clearly across a dining room. Clubs that run a member tournament each season usually have two files on record: the club crest for staff and the event mark for that year, both digitized once and reused. Our guides to hotel and resort staff uniforms and golf and country club embroidery break the programs down by department.
Wellington and the equestrian season
Wellington hosts one of the largest winter equestrian circuits in the world, and from January through March the barns, show grounds and polo fields fill with riders, grooms, trainers, farriers, vets and the businesses that serve them. The embroidery brief is specific:
- Barn colors and crests. Stables run tight color standards. We match polyester thread to PMS references as closely as the thread range allows, and keep the file on record so the second order of polos matches the first.
- Layering pieces. Mornings are cold at the barn. Quilted vests, softshells and quarter zips with a chest crest are the standard order, with polos underneath for the show ring. Smooth and quilted fabrics need different underlay than pique, which we adjust in the file.
- Caps. Structured and dad hats with the barn or sponsor mark at 2 to 2.5 inches tall on the front. 3D puff works for bold, simple logos on structured caps.
- Soft goods. Duffels, totes and saddle pad corners carry a crest well. Towels and coolers for the show tent too.
- Sponsors and vendors. Feed, tack, trailer, insurance and real estate businesses that work the circuit need branded apparel for staff and giveaways before the first week of the season.
Because the circuit is short and intense, the practical advice is to order in October and November. A single sample vest in the fall lets you check the crest before the full barn order.
Marine: Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens and the Intracoastal
From the Jupiter Inlet south to the Port of Palm Beach, the marine trades order the way Fort Lauderdale does, on a smaller scale. Charter captains, yacht brokers, marina staff, boat builders and service yards, dive and fishing outfitters. Performance polos in white and light blue, structured caps with a moisture band, quarter zips for early departures, and embroidered towels for charter guests.
Salt and sun are the test. Embroidered logos hold up where heat applied graphics crack and fade, and vessel names in script stay legible as long as letters are about 0.25 inch or taller. For the full picture, including how we handle fleet consistency across several boats, see our marine and yacht crew apparel guide.
Downtown: Clematis Street, Rosemary Square and the Flagler corridor
Downtown West Palm Beach has changed fast. Financial firms and family offices relocating to the Flagler Drive and Okeechobee Boulevard towers, restaurants and bars on Clematis Street, the retail and dining at Rosemary Square, and the professional services that follow all of it. The orders are modest in size, 6 to 40 pieces, and specific in taste: tonal left chest logos on quarter zips and polos, dark caps for events, and embroidered totes as client gifts.
Because there is no minimum order, a new office can start with a handful of pieces and reorder as it hires, with every batch pulled from the same stitch file.
Palm Beach island and private staff
Estate managers and household staffing agencies on Palm Beach, Manalapan and Jupiter Island order quietly and precisely. House staff polos and oxfords with a small monogram or crest, housekeeping tunics, kitchen aprons, pool and grounds caps, and sometimes towels and robes for guest houses. The requirements are discretion, consistent sizing across a staff that changes, and garments that come back from the laundry looking the same every week.
We handle these orders the same way: artwork used only for your order, proofs sent to one contact, stitch files kept on record, and shipping to the property or the agency office. Small monograms need letters at least 0.25 inch tall to stay crisp, and we will size them accordingly.
Planning around the season
If you only remember one thing from this page, remember this calendar.
- August and September. Finalize logos, approve digitized proofs and order a sample. Our design guide explains the vector files that make this quick.
- October and November. Place the main staff order for clubs, hotels, barns and private residences. Quantities are at their highest, which is when volume pricing helps most.
- December and January. Fill in for new hires and the holiday and New Year event rush. Reorders run from the file on record, so they match.
- February through April. Tournaments, galas, charity events and polo. Event caps and volunteer polos, usually ordered 6 to 8 weeks out.
- May through July. Review what worked, update the logo if needed, and sample new garments while the pace is slower.
Rush work is sometimes possible, but the seasonal crunch is real for every shop in South Florida. See rush embroidery for what is realistic.
How custom embroidery orders reach West Palm Beach from Hollywood
Our shop is at 6411 Pembroke Rd in Hollywood, between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, roughly an hour south of West Palm Beach on I-95 or the Turnpike. Almost every Palm Beach County order runs remotely:
- You send the logo, garments, sizes and quantities by email or text.
- We digitize once per logo per size, sew a sample or send a proof photo, and you approve.
- We produce the order in house and ship it to your club, barn, office or property, or deliver on larger orders.
- Mixed jobs stay together. Embroidered staff polos and printed volunteer tees for a tournament are one order because DTG printing, DTF and screen printing run alongside embroidery in the same building.
Pricing is quoted per project, driven by stitch count, garment, placement and quantity, with cost per piece falling as quantity rises. For large seasonal programs, the bulk and corporate orders page explains how we manage sizes, names and reorder schedules, and the embroidery service page lists every garment we stitch.
Frequently asked questions
Who does custom embroidery for West Palm Beach businesses?
Imperial Custom Apparel embroiders in house on commercial multi head machines at our shop in Hollywood, Florida, and ships or delivers north to West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Wellington, Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens. Orders run by email and text with a sewn sample or proof for approval.
When should a Palm Beach club or hotel order embroidered uniforms for season?
Approve artwork and samples in August or September and place the main order in October or November. Season staffing peaks from November through April, and ordering early avoids the fall crunch every South Florida shop experiences.
Can you embroider vests, softshells and caps for a Wellington barn?
Yes. Quilted vests, softshells, quarter zips, polos, structured caps and soft goods like duffels and saddle pad corners are all embroidered in house. Thread colors are matched to your barn's PMS references and the stitch file is kept on record so later orders match.
Is there a minimum order for embroidery in Palm Beach County?
No. We have no minimum order, so a single sample polo or vest is fine before a full staff order. Cost per piece falls as quantity rises, which is why most clubs and barns place one large order before season.
Do you deliver embroidery orders to Jupiter or Palm Beach Gardens?
Yes. We ship anywhere in Palm Beach County and nationwide, and deliver on larger orders. Pickup is also available by appointment at our Hollywood shop, about an hour south on I-95.
